What is Startup.Roulette?
A random startup idea generator. Every spin gives you a business idea made of three parts: the problem, the solution mechanic and the target audience.
How does the generator work?
Press Spin, wait a moment while the idea comes together, and get a ready startup idea in your language. Want more control? Set filters in Customize and every new spin will follow them.
Can I customize the ideas?
Yes. Use the Customize button next to Spin to choose industries, whether the idea sells to consumers or businesses, business models and a starting budget, or to list topics to exclude. Anything you leave empty is picked by the AI. Filters steer the result but are not a strict guarantee, and your choices are remembered in this browser.
Do I need an account?
No. Your saved ideas are tied to an anonymous ID stored in a browser cookie, and your Customize settings stay in your browser.
How do I share an idea?
Save the idea, then press Share to copy a link. Shared ideas can also show up in the community gallery.
Is there a limit on spins?
Generation is free, but the number of spins per hour is limited so the service stays fast for everyone.
Can I build a startup from these ideas?
Treat them as a starting point for brainstorming: talk to real people about the problem before you build anything.
